After more than two decades of journalism, public relations, political campaigns and government contracting in our nation’s capital, Chris returned to Asheville to put his communications strategy skills to use in his hometown. During his time in Washington, DC, he served on the staffs of two United States Senators and the Indian Affairs Committee, as a public affairs officer at The George Washington University and as the director of the newsletter division of a prominent publishing company.
He also ran his own government relations firm, developing legislative and political communications campaigns for major consumer services, gaming, telecommunications and entertainment companies, as well as candidates for public office and ballot initiatives.
Chris graduated from Duke University with a BA in Public Policy.
Claire brings more than 15 years’ experience in advertising, sales, marketing and online promotion for individuals, products, events and organizations. A veteran of the North Carolina arts community, she previously operated fine art supply stores in Chapel Hill, Winston Salem and Asheville. She has continues to bridge the street-side and digital worlds, helping small business and organizations in the Western NC area sell online, get customers walking through the door, and achieve record-setting attendance at events. Claire is skilled at analyzing market trends and customer needs to develop engaging and targeted marketing campaigns.
A native of the Washington, DC suburbs, Claire has a BA in English from Virginia Commonwealth University.
